Explore Longhorn Cavern the Wild Way!

 

Crawl, climb and squeeze through small passages. Tours Conducted Most Saturday's By Reservation Only* - other dates available for groups.

During this 1 1/2 - 2 hour tour you will view formations that were only seen by professional spelunkers up until just a few years ago. On staff specialists will guide you into parts of the cave not shown on regular
tours. Small passageways and getting very dirty are definitely part of this tour and is not recommended for every guest.

 

Special protective equipment such as hard hats, elbow and knee pads and flashlights are required; bring your own or rent from us.

This tour is generally on Saturday's and is available by reservation only.

There is a new trend in cave exploration and we are setting the pace. Longhorn Cavern can be a learning cave for junior spelunkers (age 11 and above) and an advanced cave for senior crawlers.

Equipment List - (Required)

Helmet
Light (attached to helmet is best)
Long Pants with Belt (No Shorts)
Elbow Pads
Knee Pads
Tennis Shoes or Hiking Boots
Towel & Plastic Bag for Dirty Clothes
Change of Clothes

All clothes and equipment for the Wild Cave Tour
should be properly cleaned and sanitized if used at any other cave.

 

*The Wild Cave Tour is conducted MOST Saturdays by reservation only. Times do vary and space is limited, so be sure to call for reservations at 1-877-441-CAVE (2283). Call for availability of other days of the week. **All tours are limited to Age 11 and above. Small Children and Adults with health problems are discouraged from participating in this particular tour. The tour is rather physical and not appropriate for all.

 

All Wild Cave Tour participants are required to fill out a Release of Liability form before they can take the tour.  Please download the required form(s) below, fill out and return to Longhorn Caverns prior to your tour.

 

 

Minor Wild Cave Tour is for participants 11-15 years old.
This form requires the signature of a consenting adult.

 

Adult Wild Cave Tour is for participants 16 years and older.

 

Everyone needs to fill in the WCT Release Check list form.
