Longhorn Caverns State Park Backbone Ridge Trail gets its name from Backbone Mountain, where the cavern is located. The vegetation found in this area is typical of the Oak-Juniper Hill Country of Central Texas. As you walk the nature trail you will see signs with numbers on them. Look that number up in this guide sheet and it will tell you of a point of interest at that spot.

For group guided tours, please contact us for reservations. This would be an ideal tour for scouts, schools, families and other groups interested in the flora and fauna of the Hill Country.
